Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue

Something Blue is a glass assemblage made from found glass dishes with blown and torchworked glass elements. This piece was the center of my Senior Thesis work, which explored adornment, ornamentation, and the emotional and physical labor of caretaking.

My creative process has always stemmed from intuition and exploration. These pieces, with their puzzle-like assemblage and organic nature, allow me to create and build free from a formula or expected outcome. The assembling of these pieces feels to me very similar to the process of creating a floral arrangement.
